What you can expect

The MV Lena shipwreck near Bunbury Harbour provides a unique diving experience for all open water certified divers. Teeming with reef sharks and an array of fish varieties, this is one extraordinary scuba dive you’ll cherish forever. Step aboard “Obsession 1” and let the scuba diving adventure begin with a quick 25 minute ferry out to the dive site.

Sitting in 17 metres of water, the MV Lena shipwreck is known as an easy dive site best explored in low winds and light swell. As you submerge below the water, an aquatic wonderland alive with activity greets scuba divers. Admire Wobbegong and Port Jackson Sharks alongside Stingrays and numerous small reef fish species. A light BBQ lunch and hot drinks are also included in this scuba dive experience to keep you energised throughout the day.

Time
  • Departure time is generally 8:00 am and we aim to be back at the jetty by 12:30 pm. This can occasionally extend to 1:00 pm

  • Please allow approximately five hours for this experience

  • This experience departs from Casuarina Harbour on Casuarina Drive, Bunbury WA 6230.
What To Bring
  • Wear clothing appropriate for the prevailing weather conditions. it will generally be several degrees cooler on the water than it is on the mainland.
  • Please wear flat shoes with non-marking soles
  • Sunscreen is available on board
Additional Information
  • This dive requires a current Open Water Dive qualification as a minimum. Proof of qualification is required prior to boarding
  • Dive gear is not supplied or available in Bunbury. Please bring all your own dive gear
  • Whilst the "obsession 1' vessel is very stable, if you suffer readily from motion sickness, we recommend talking with your doctor or pharmacist about taking a sea-sick tablet. For these to be effective, they generally need to be taken at least 1 hour prior to boarding
  • Please advise if you have special dietary requirements. With advanced notice we can cater to vegetarian or vegan requirements, however some special dietary needs may require you to bring your own suitable foods
  • To ensure space for all on-board, please do not bring dive tubs for loading. You can unload gear from tubs and the crew will stow your gear safely and securely under your seat, with small dry bags overhead
  • Please also avoid large duffle bags. Limit bags to airline carry-on sizes
  • This dive may be affected by adverse weather conditions. If deemed unsafe or unsuitable leading up to or on your dive day, the dive will need to be rescheduled. If you are not able to dive at a later date, a full refund will be provided
  • Providing there is space available onboard, spectators can come along. The spectator rate is the same as the diver rate
  • Our lean dives requires a minimum of eight divers for the dive to take place
  • Your booking will remain "unconfirmed" until those minimum numbers are reached. You will be notified if / when the dive is confirmed
  • Should minimum numbers not be reached, you will be notified at least one day prior to departure. In this case our cancellation / refund policy will apply. The maximum number of divers per trip is 12
  • Boarding requires a step up and down as well as across a small gap between the vessel and the jetty. Sorry - wheelchair access is not currently available

Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
  • Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
